COVID-19 Updates
January 25, 2021 UPDATE!!
RE-OPENING January 31, 2021

Hello Friends:
As you all know by now our business The Hair Razor aka The Barber Shop has been closed since March 2020.

Many of you have seen today the "Powers That Be" have given the green light to once again re-open hair salons/barber shops with VERY strict re-opening protocols.

The very first thing that is rammed into your head upon entering barber school or Cosmetology school is SANITATION SANITATION SANITATION AND MORE SANITATION. With the pandemic we have UPGRADED our level of sanitation to further your safety while in our establishment.

As such please be prepared upon entry for the new rules for your safety as well as our staff:

Expect the following:
Temperature checks –The Hair Razor is using a touchless infrared thermometer to check the temperature of each staff member daily and of each client who enters the shop. Temperatures will be taken prior to entering the shop as well as your oxygen levels checked. If they are above the normal range we will be unable to service you that day. PLEASE UNDERSTAND!

Any staff member or client who has a temperature above 100.4°F WILL be sent home immediately and not allowed to return to the shop until they have no fever and no evidence of COVID-19 symptoms. {No less then 14 days}

Staff members will be wearing PPE at ALL times to protect you as well as them: They will be wearing gloves, face masks and shields as well as shoe covers.

Capes - Each client will be draped with a clean disposable cape that will be disposed of after each client.

Neck strips – Staff members will use protective/disposable neck strips around the neck of each client.

Hand-washing – Staff MUST wash hands with warm, soapy water, for a minimum of 20 seconds between every client serviced.

PPE, such as gloves, capes, drapes, linens and mask will be changed between each client. {EVERYTHING WE ARE USING IS DISPOSABLE}

We MUST ask each client entering the shop the following questions:
Have you had a cough, a fever?
Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 14 days?
Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?

Shop Rules:
We are unable at this time to do any service involving facial hair {I.E.: NO SHAVES} FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

We will be limiting the number of people in the shop. One client per operator. You MUST wait in your car and we will call you when it is your turn to enter the shop.
No waiting indoors {IE: NO waiting area}

We will be seeing clients by appointment only.

While in the shop you MUST maintain social distancing at all times! Spacing between persons in the shop MUST be at least six feet, except when staff are servicing clients.
We have been in business here in the community for 62 years, same location, and same family owned business. We have NEVER been fined for a violation nor had any issues with the state board and we want too and will maintain that status to the best of our ability.

ALL that being said we at The Hair Razor respect you all and your health and want you to know we have your best interest at heart.

It’s our job and responsibility to be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem!!!
